On 18 March, Occupation machinery demolished a house in al-Ezariya as well as several Bedouin tents and animal pens. A total of 39 people lost their homes. These demolitions, however, only represent a small fraction of the targeted structures in Jerusalem. Collectively, hundreds of structures housing thousands of people face demolition threats in Palestinian communities across the city.

Above: When demolition crews arrived, al-Qemri and his wife refused to leave the apartment. Soldiers entered, beating the couple and forcefully ejecting them before commencing with the demolition.
Above: al-Qemri has refused to be expelled from the area, however, stating, “I will build a tent on the ruins of my home and I will not leave my land”
Above: Occupation bulldozers also leveled several Bedouin tents and sheep pens in al-Ezariya, on the pretext that they were erected too close to the Wall.
Above: The tents and pens belonged to Sa’id Hasan Salem Hawada, Khalid Salman Salameh, and Muhammed Salman Salameh and housed their respective families. The pens held hundreds of sheep.
Above: Collectively, the tents housed 30 people. Pictured are the remains of family possessions following the demolition.
