The Wall Weaving through Jerusalem
Photos, PENGON/Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign, January 3rd, 2004
These photos, taken in the Abu Dis area in Jerusalem on January 2, 2004, clearly show the devastating way the Apartheid Wall is winding through Palestinian communities. Cutting incredibly close to people's homes, the Wall completely divides communities, isolating people from essential lands, commerce, family and friends. The Wall is serving to annex the most fertile land that will be used for settlement expansion, while forcing expulsion among Palestinian communities by making living conditions near impossible.
