The Latest In Solidarity

“Despite killings, arrests and repression, we will continue”
In the series of repression practiced by the occupation forces on the popular weekly demonstrations against the apartheid wall and settlements, occupation forces arrested and wounded dozens during the weekly demonstrations in the West Bank.
In Bilin, the occupation forces faced the protesters with sound and tear gas bombs and shot metal bullets covered with rubber, which caused dozens of suffocation cases and injured 20-year-old photojournalist Iyas Abo Rahme.

For background on the issue, this is from a recent Press release from the Italian Coalition Stop That Train:

On 30 November, the City Council of Rho, in the province of Milan, approved a resolution expressing “moral and political condemnation of Pizzarotti & C. S.p.A. for its participation in the project for the construction of the A1 Jerusalem – Tel Aviv railway”.

(Quito, Ecuador) Many in Ecuador have also been moved to show solidarity with the Palestinians and their struggle, especially during this occasion of the international week against the wall.

From the iconic sites of the Israeli wall and the US/Mexico border, we are witnessing a world-wide proliferation of walls and reinforcement of borders. These not only delimitate the nation state but proliferate in its interior, reproducing social divisions along lines of race, class and gender, and reflecting and reinforcing existing power relations.

To the Mexican students,

To the Mexican people,

The Palestinian Grassroots Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign "Stop the Wall" and the Independent Palestinian Youth Movement "Harak Shebabi" expresse its solidarity with the Mexican students for the killing of Carlos Sinhue Cuevas, Mexican student and activist.

The Apartheid Wall has been deemed illegal by the International Court of Justice, yet the international community has done nothing to halt its encroachment on Palestinian land. Palestinian workers and farmers have been the most effected by the ongoing construction of the wall, thus we reach out to trade unions, invoking the best practices of trade union solidarity and internationalism under the tried and true union slogan of ‘an injury to one is an injury to all!’.

Herak Shababi Mustakel, the Independent Palestinian Youth movement, calls for the expulsion of Tony Blair from Palestine and considers him an unwanted person.

This year the season for the olive harvesting in Palestine began in the mid of October.

Jenin, in the north of Palestine, was one of the frist districts where they began harvesting the olives.

The kick-off of the olive harvesting in Jenin was done by a large group of Palestinian students and a group of Norwegian volunteers.
