(Norwegian Palestine Committee)

Early this morning, a group of activists from the Palestine Committee of Norway blocked the entrance to the offices of the security firm G4S in Oslo. The blockade adds weight to a petition — signed by 21 Norwegian organizations — which was presented to G4S management last week.

Israeli Apartheid must not be rewarded by the OECD

This report is a summary of an extensive study on the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement compiled by the Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign and to be published in 2007. In the report we consider the scope for the development of a global BDS activism which can work in accordance with the goals set out by Palestinians in their calls. We assess the various objectives of BDS initiatives and conclude with a framework of goals, priorities and aims to take such work forwards.

The new Campaign flashpoint presentation is a unique tool for activists to introduce Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaigns to their communities. Civil groups, institutions and campaigners will find it an invaluable tool for creating and supporting their initiatives.

The presentation reveals the rationale, aims and arguments around the move to isolate Israeli Apartheid and explores the various forms actions can take.

In this fact sheet the Campaign offers an introduction to the political aims, motivations, and strategic value of the campaign to Isolate Apartheid Israel. It answers some of the most commonly asked questions regarding boycott, divestment and sanctions. You will further find an outline of the many different forms that boycott campaigns can take and some general indications on how to implement the campaigns.

Recently the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign called for a Boycott of Israeli potatoes, fruit, and herbs being sold in supermarkets throughout Ireland.

The IPSC writes: "In South Africa, an international boycott was key in ending apartheid. You can help defeat the brutal apartheid system that Israel is imposing on the Palestinians. Our governments have failed to act, so it's critical for individual people to take action in solidarity with Palestinians."

The IPSC is urging everyone living in Ireland to:
