Palestinian organizations thank Rio Grande do Sul for cutting relations with Elbit.
In response to the landmark decision of the government of Rio Grande do Sul to announce the cancellation of the Memorandum of Understanding with Elbit Systems, Palestinian representatives handed over a letter welcoming the decision and thanking the government and civil society in Rio Grande do Sul.

Occupied Palestine, 03 December 2014 - The Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul has cancelled a major collaboration deal with Israeli military company Elbit Systems in the wake of protests over the firm’s role in oppression of Palestinians.
Brazilian social movements and trade unions and Palestinian groups had called on authorities to cancel the deal over Elbit’s role in the construction of Israel’s illegal apartheid Wall in the occupied West Bank and its close relationship with the Israeli military.
BARCLAYS branches across the country were forced to close after pro-Palestine activists staged sit-in demonstrations today.
The protests were in response to the bank's holdings in Israel's largest military company which provided drones used in recent deadly strikes on Gaza.
The flagship Barclays branch in Piccadilly Circus closed three hours early as 35 people from London's Palestine Action network held a sit-in occupation.

More than 30 pro-Palestine campaigners occupied the Cabinet Office this afternoon demanding an end to the UK’s flourishing arms trade and military cooperation with Israel.
Campaigners from the London Palestine Action group occupied the building for more than 45 minutes. 3 people locked themselves to railings in the building while others chanted slogans calling on the UK government to impose a military embargo on Israel.
A member of the London Palestine Action group said:
Germany has long since been providing Israel with costly weapons - mostly at half or less the market price - in order to continue its wars and apartheid policies.
Recently, Israel has started an initiative for negotiations for three to four missile speedboats to integrate in its navy. Israel already has six German submarines able to carry nuclear weapons.

Activists block the entrance to G4S’ offices in Oslo.

Early this morning, a group of activists from the Palestine Committee of Norway blocked the entrance to the offices of the security firm G4S in Oslo. The activists demanded that G4S stop all activities that contribute to the occupation of the West Bank and Gaza. The blockade adds weight to a petition — signed by 21 Norwegian organizations — which was presented to G4S management last week.

Two protests have been held today in Palestine to protest a French-Israeli military deal. A wide variety of youth organizations has organized the protests to oppose the French acquisition of $500 million worth of drones from Israeli Airspace Indistries.
Some 30 people gathered in Jerusalem in front of the French consulate and only hours later some 50 people protested in Ramallah in front of the French cultural center.
Palestinian political forces and civil society have joined in a letter to the newly appointed Brazilian minister of defence Celso Amorim congratulating him for his appointment and expressing their hope that under his mandate Brazil's defense policies would lead to a new area of respect for human and Palestinian rights. This clearly means ending Brazil's military relations with Israel and cutting contracts with Israeli arms companies. Brazil today is the world's 4th largest importer of Israeli arms and keeps many joint ventures.
