Nablus

406 dunum will be confiscated to build a new Israeli road for Palestinians only, which will segregate them from settlers roads, and will connect Nablus to nearby Palestinian villages. This is the second main road that totally segregates between Palestinians and settlers. It is is part of a bigger plan to convert all Palestinian cities and villages into ghettos.

On Thursday 28 June 2018, Israeli Occupation Forces arrested the popular Palestinian activist Wael Al-Faqeeh from his home. His violent arrest and illegal detention in Megiddo prison inside the Green Line is part and parcel of Israel's attempt to crush Palestinian popular struggle and silence the voices of protest as it intents to finalise the Bantustanization of Palestine.

The Palestinian community of Tana has resorted since 2017 to live in the caves in the area after their homes have been demolished over a dozen times by Israeli military. Now, Stop the Wall and partners have joined the community to transform the caves into spaces of resistance and dignified existence to allow the families a modest life of steadfastness.

With the beginning of Ramadan, the State owned Israeli water company Mekorot cut off water supply in the northern West Bank. The most affected areas are currently the Nablus and Jenin governorates. In the meantime, Mekorot guarantees the full supply of water to the settlements located in the same area. So far, the company hasn’t offered any justification for the shuts down. Mekorot has been enforcing a water apartheid system for a long time now in the Palestinian people, reselling Palestinians water it has stolen from them. Up to now Palestinians are not allowed to freely dispose of their water resource and are made dependant on Mekorot for 60% of their basic needs of water.

On January 2, Palestinian activists discovered the fields of Khirbet Twael where covered with different types of explosive devices. The discovery was made as they were implementing a land reclamation activity in the lands owned by many families from the villages of Aqraba and Khirbet Twael.

Along with the International Campaign to Stop the Jewish National Fund, Stop The Wall Campaign, the Palestinian Farmers’ Union, the Land Defense Coalition and the municipality of Aqraba organized a day of voluntary work to plant olive trees in Khirbet Twaiel, east of Aqraba in Nablus district. Khirbet Twaiel is targeted for destruction and evacuation by the occupation forces and is suffering repeated settler attacks. Last year, Israeli forces have come eight times to destroy houses and animals shelters in the community.

The occupation government is carrying out a process of ethnic cleansing in the Palestinian territories in full view of the rest of the world.  Settlement expansion is happening at a ferocious rate alongside land confiscation and daily attacks by the Israeli army and settlers against Palestinian citizens and their property.

Salfit - On Sunday 2nd June the occupation forces notified villagers from Bruqin in Salfit that they must evacuate more than 100 dunams of land. The mayor of Bruqin, Nafid Barakat and resident Salah Amer are the owners of the land and Mr Barakat had just replanted the land 4 months before receiving the evacuation notice.

A group of settlers have also attacked citizens in their cars in the village of Yasuf, Salfit and closed the main street of the village.

Over the past couple of weeks, Palestinians living in the West Bank have witnessed a series of demolitions settler attacks, and land confiscations.

On May 29th, settlers uprooted 300 mature olive trees in the village of Awarta, south of Nablus. In another incident, settlers from Gelad set fire to land belonging to the village of Jib, west of Nablus, burning an estimated 20 dunums planted with olive trees and wheat.

When colonial supremacy and racial hatred are entering into a perverse spiral of folly, then not even cows are safe anymore. Yesterday in the night, Israeli settlers tried to poison the only cow of Palestinian farmer Khalid Draghmeh. It was not the first time they attacked his livestock. Already a year ago, his horse got poisoned by the same settlers.

Khalid Samih Hammed Draghmeh ”Abu Jamal”, a Palestinian citizen from the eastern Al-Laban village, Ramallah district, head of a seven members family, lives in an old khan located on the main road between Ramallah and Nablus, the area of the khan and the lands surrounding it are more than 22 km square, and it is surrounded by a settlements conglomerate grouping the settlements of “ Ma’aleh Labuneh”, “ Shilo”, and “Eli” settlements.

More than 200 Palestinians are building the village “Bab Munatir” in the Nablus region:

This morning, more than 200 Palestinian Grassroots Committees activists started construction of (02.02.2013) the village of “Bab Munatir” on the land of the Munatir area – land threatened with confiscation by the Israeli army of occupation and settlers in the Palestinian village of Bourin, south of Nablus region.

As a result of the Israeli aggression on Gaza protest demonstrations and solidarity marches was arranged all over the West Bank – From Jenin in the north to Hebron in the south. Once again the occupation forces of Israel suppressed the popular resistance of the Palestinians.

Occupation forces accompanied with bulldozers attacked Beit Ulla village in the Hebron district and cut more than 300 olive and almond trees, destroyed the land, and confiscated it, one member of Stop the Wall campaign member said.

This attack came under the series of vicious attacks by the occupation forces and settlers, now occurring daily in the occupied land of the West Bank.
