On May 5th and 6th Occupation forces began construction of the Apartheid Wall in the lands adjacent to the Qalandiya checkpoint, alongside the nearby airport. In only 24 hours the work crews installed more than 60 blocks, with many more laying on the ground, ready to be lifted into place. As always a large number of armed security guards, and Occupation forces accompanied the work crews, with sniper teams posted on nearby buildings.
