Resistance to the Zionist Wall of Expulsion in Al Baqa Refugee Camp.

***image2***Throughout the week workers, students, and residents in Al Baqa have been visiting the Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign photo exhibit which was coordinated with the Jordan Dental Association as part of the growing support for Palestinian resistance against the racist Zionist Wall throughout Jordan. The photo exhibit was opened on Sunday the 29th of February with a grassroots event that hosted a number of speakers addressing the Wall as an element of the continued expulsion of Palestinian from their homeland.

The director of the Al Baqa Club, where all the activities were hosted, opened the event with an introduction for the event and students performing a powerful story of expulsion and resistance. A member of the Boycott Committees facilitated the presenters while also speaking to the Wall within the context of Zionist-American imperialism. The first speaker was a local writer who spoke of historic Palestine. Next, a member of the Professional Associations spoke to the right of return and the Wall as another step in the systematic denial of this right. The director of the Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign thereafter presented on the Wall’s horrifying realities and stranglehold on Palestinian livelihoods. Lastly, a local poet read words of resistance, a call for Arab unity against the Zionist Occupation. The event received excellent attendance and brought together a number of groups from Al Baqa with the Campaign under a clear political goal to support the struggle against the Zionist Wall as part of the larger movement of the liberation of all lands occupied after 1948.
