A solidarity meeting in Havana, Cuba, witnessed the gathering of political organizations from all over Latin America on November 15th. The participants have passed a resolution referring specifically to the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Beit Hanoun. More generally, it has reiterated the support of the Latin American left to the struggle of the Palestinian and Arab people against Zionism and US lead imperialism.

Solidarity With The Resistance Of The Arab Peoples And The Palestinian Cause
We, on behalf of the Salvador Allende Memorial House, the Cuban Peace Movement, the Organization of Solidarity of the Peoples of Africa, Asia and Latin America (OSPAAAL) and the political representatives accredited in Cuba, pay tribute to the heroic people of Palestine, which suffers the criminal Zionist aggression supported, assessed and financed by the neo-fascist clique that rules the empireâs destinies. We extend this message to the struggle and resistance of the Lebanese people, which faced the invading forces causing them an overwhelming political and military defeat when they prevented the Israeli military forces to seize their territory.
A few days ago, the Zionist imperialist forces supported by the government of the United States have continued their criminal raids in the occupied Palestinian territories. Eighteen persons were brutally murdered, the great majority of which were youngsters and children. Beit Hanoun is the Guernica that the German fascist troops exterminated in the Basque Land before World War II, but from whose ashes emerged the light of victory and freedom. The Strip of Gaza and the Western Bank have become a symbol of struggle for the liberty of the Palestinian fatherland.
The participants in this meeting of solidarity with the people of Palestine join the millions of voices that rise in the world to condemn these criminal actions against a people that fights for its existence and demand from the Zionist Israeli government to put an end to its fascist actions, which violate all norms of International Law and International Humanitarian Law.
In the face of the international public opinion we condemn the constant vetoes in the United Nations Security Council by the government of the United States that enables Israel to continue committing atrocious crimes in total impunity.
We demand respect for the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent and sovereign state with East Jerusalem as capital; the return of all refugees and the unconditional return of all occupied territories.
Once more we confirm our full solidarity with the Palestinian fighters and their fatherland.
The Middle East must live in peace, but not in the peace of the sepulchers!
