GAZA, November 20, 2012 (WAFA) â The death toll of Palestinians killed in seven days of Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip reached 113 on Tuesday, a large number of them are children and women, and three killed in early hour strikes on and around Gaza City.
Medical sources said two people were killed, including a farmer from Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, when Israeli warplanes fired missiles at agricultural land in the area.
Another Palestinian was killed and his son injured in an air raid on al-Mighraga area, south of the Gaza Strip, sources at Shifa hospital said.
Two young brothers were killed the night before and more than 14 injured when warplanes fired missiles at the Nassasreh family building in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.
In addition, a family of four people was also killed in a strike at their home in Jabaliya refugee camp on Monday. The killed were identified as Fouad Hijazi, his wife and their two-year-old and four-year-old sons.
Israeli warplanes continued pounding Palestinian homes and private business and public buildings throughout the Gaza Strip including the leveling of the building of the Islamic National Bank in the center of Gaza City. Four people living nearby were injured from shrapnel.
Of the 113 killed; 26 were children, 10 women and 13 elderly, and many of them were of the same family. In addition around 900 were injured, about a third are children. Reports also said Israel targeted more than 800 buildings, totally destroying over 70 buildings and causing partial damage to the rest.
