Ni’lin march honours the martyrs and activists of the Freedom Flotilla

In the village of Ni’lin’s weekly protest against Israeli Occupation, protestors demonstrated their solidarity with those who participated in the Freedom Flotilla’s effort to end Israel’s siege on the Gaza Strip. Participants raised Turkish flags as well as flags of the countries of origin of many of the Flotilla’s activists in honour of those that were killed by Israeli forces. In their attempt to suppress the march, Israeli forces drowned the area in tear gas and set off sound bombs, resulting in the suffocation of many of the protestors. Nonetheless, participants stood their ground in respect for the Freedom Flotilla and the struggle to end Israeli Occupation. Click here to see the photo story on Stop the Wall’s flickr page.
