Bil’in marks 6 years of resistance

The people of Bil’In, along with international supporters and Palestinian political leaders, marked the sixth anniversary of the popular resistance, and entering the seventh year under the slogan “The people demand an end to the division and the occupation.”

Above: Hundreds of Palestinian flags were raised during this march in addition to the posters of the martyrs Bassem and Jawaher Abu Rahmah, and their captive brother Abdullah Abu Rahmah, the coordinator of the Popular Committee Against the Wall in Bil’in. Several other banners were carried calling for an immediate end to division and occupation.
Above: The march headed towards the Apartheid Wall, where the IOF had created a barrier of human soldiers near the gate of the Wall to prevent demonstrators from entering the isolated land. One demonstrator sprayed painted Occupation forces’ shields.
Above: Protesters confronted soldiers and are sprayed with “skunk” water. Demonstrators were also targeted with sound bombs, tear gas and live bullets.
Above: A soldier aims tear gas toward protestors. 5 were injured, including Hamza Suleiman (18), who was shot in the back; Ahmed Abu Rahmah (16 ) was hit by a gas canister in his hand. Kifah Mansour (30), Fadi Omar (30), and Abdallah Yassin (19) were among those injured by tear gas.
