Israeli forces demolish Khirbet Makhool village in Jordan Valley

1692013

Early Monday morning, Israeli occupation forces demolished all the homes of local villagers in the village of Khirbet Makhool, located in the northern part of the Jordan Valley.

Mr Daraghma, the Head of the Almaleh and coordinator for the Bedouin Council in the northern Jordan Valley, said ‘Israeli forces raided the village at dawn. They came with bulldozers and started demolishing houses without any prior warning. He then added that “this demolition process resulted in the forced displacement of 120 inhabitants, whom were forced out of their homes of which now only the wreckage remains”.

Daraghmah noted that this is not the first time that the occupation destroys these homes.

In a later development, according to our correspondent in the region, the Israeli occupation forces sealed off the area in front of journalists and citizens.

The village is surrounded by Israeli settlements, including 'Roi' and 'Hamadat' and also is located in close proximity to an Israeli occupation forces outpost.
