12 5 2014 "The United Nations' Coordination office of Humanitarian Affairs" (OCHA) stated in a report that the occupation authorities demolished 237 Palestinian buildings since the beginning of this year, 27 in occupied East Jerusalem, and the rest in (c) region in the West Bank under complete control of the occupation, as well as 663 demolished buildings during the last year.
He explained, "OCHA" in its report yesterday that the demolition of these buildings resulted in the displacement of 465 Palestinians, including 93 in East Jerusalem, while 1103 Palestinians were displaced last year.
He pointed out that the occupation authorities demolished 21 Palestinian buildings in (c) region last week, and two in East Jerusalem, which led to the displacement of 39 Palestinians, including 23 children, and 20 others were affected.
It also pointed out that "most of the demolitions took place in the Bedouin community of Khirbet Tal el Khashabeh, near the city of Nablus in the northern West Bank). Demolitions targeted three residential buildings, four animal shelters, water wells, Al-Tajamo Mosque, and seven other buildings.
It stated that the demolitions resulted in the displacement of 27 people, including 18 children. It added that two of the demolished buildings were provided by international donors. According to the report, Israeli authorities issued demolition orders this week against a house in Hebron, and water well, and a barn in Bethlehem.
Over the past week, Israeli authorities issued orders to stop the building and demolition against five housing units financed by international donors, in the northern Bedouin village of Bir Nabala (near Jerusalem) and five other buildings in Upper Fasayel in the Jordan Valley.
