Beit Dajan: Rallying to liberate our land, to preserve our existence
In the last couple of weeks, the protesters in Beit Dajan, another village fighting off settlement expansion since years, have been inspired by their brothers and sisters in Beita and have taken up the strategy of night disturbance actions.
Protests in Beit Dajan have been continuing since October 2020, when settlers erected the last time a settlement outpost on the village hills. Palestinian protesters removed a settler outpost successfully. Yet, the next day, state-backed Israeli illegal settlers constructed another one under the protection of the Israeli occupation army the day after Palestinians achieved their victory, which is still in place up until now.
Three times before, Israeli military and settlers had constructed settlement outposts on Beit Dajan land and each time villagers had been able to oust them.
Refusing to give up on their right to their land, the residents of Beit Dajan have been staging weekly protests that take place every Friday in an attempt to remove the settler outpost and reclaim their land since last October.
