Occupation, Apartheid and Colonialism in Palestine – a basic guide

The Civic Coalition for Palestinian Rights in Jerusalem and the Birzeit University Institute of Law are pleased to announce release of the “Guidelines for Advocating for Palestinian Rights in conformity with International Law”. Tthis new advocacy tool is an outcome document of the conference “Options and Strategies of International Law for the Palestinian People” held at the Birzeit University Institute of Law in May 2013.
The Guidelines aim to help non-lawyers understand and apply international law to Israel’s oppressive regime over the entire Palestinian people: those in the Occupied Palestinian Territory since 1967, Palestinian citizens of Israel, and the Palestinian refugees since 1948.

The English edition of the Guidelines is released today on the occasion of the 2014 global Israel Apartheid Week.
