***image4***On November 9th, in response the Palestinian call to action against the Israeli Apartheid Wall, Palestine Forum and Peace for Palestine in Osaka, Japan held solidarity actions in the square at the front of Osaka station. The demonstration sent a strong message to local and international communities, as well as the Sharon government, that the racist policies of the Israeli Occupation will not go unchallenged as they displayed a symbolic replica of the Wall made of a wire netting and barbed wire, passed out informational flyers and postcards and projected powerful slides of the Wall and anti-Wall slogans on a giant screen hung on a footbridge near the square.
The action, which lasted for 2 hours, coincided with Palestinian mobilization in several cities throughout Palestine. Osaka demonstrators initiated their protest to mark a strong phase in the resistance against the Apartheid Wall by standing in solidarity with the Palestinian led initiative demanding justice against colonialism, racism and oppression.
