Protests continue in al-Ma’sara; three arrested in Bil’in last Friday

The demonstration in al-Ma’sara was held this week as usual, and villagers and their supporters marched through the village in the direction of the Wall. Protestors chanted slogans calling for an end to the occupation and settlements as well as for unification of the factions.

Occupation forces prevented marchers from completing the march to their land, forcing them back and blocking the road. Several people were lightly injured during scuffles with soldiers.

In Bi’lin, participants in the weekly action also chanted slogans for unity and against the occupation as they marched towards the Wall. Occupation forces fired tear gas, affecting dozens of people. Soldiers also arrested three, two Israeli activists and a Palestinian cameraman. All were released later in the night.
