Once again weekly demonstrations against the settlements, the apartheid wall, imprisonment of Palestinians and in the struggle for human rights were held throughout all of the West Bank, and once again the occupation forces suppressed the legitimate march

Occupation forces suppressed the weekly demonstration of Kufr Qaddum, east Qalqiliya district, against the Israeli settlements and demanded the occupation authorities to open the main entrance of the village, which has been closed for more than 10 years. The Israeli suppression of the demonstration led to several injuries with suffocation and people fainting as a result of toxic tear gas.

Hundreds of the activists participated in the demonstration participants chanted nationalistic slogans against the policies of expanding the settlements which are pursued by the occupation. The march did also protest against the occupation plans to construct another 3600 settlement housing units in the Jerusalem area.

Dozens of activists were also injured by suffocation as a result of an extensive use of tear gas grenades, after the occupation forces suppressed the weekly demonstration of Bi’lin, west Ramallah district, against the settlements, the apartheid wall and with the demand to free the Palestinian prisoners.

The occupation forces shot rubber coated bullets, tear gas grenades and sound grenades at the participants as they arrived near the apartheid wall. This led to several injuries as participants suffered from heavy breathing problems and suffocation as a result of the tear gas.

This week’s slogan was in support for the Palestinian prisoners with the title ‘Reject the policies of administrative detentions in solidarity with our prisoners on hunger strike’.

Occupation forces suppressed the weekly march of the village al-Ma’sara, south Bethlehem district, condemning the annexations of the apartheid wall, and prevented the farmers from getting to the land which are annexed by it.

Four activists were also injured by rubber bullets and dozens were injured by suffocation as a result of the occupation forces suppression of the demonstration in Nabi Saleh, north west Ramallah district, against the settlements with tear gas.

The weekly march was organized on the occasion of the third anniversary of the beginning of grassroots resistance in the village, after Friday prayers.  Dozens of residents of the village, the neighboring villages participated, chanting slogans demanding a continuance of the struggle until they had received all of their legitimate rights.

As the march arrived at Martyr Mustapha Tamimi Street, the main street in the village – which was named after the martyr of the grassroots resistance – the occupation soldiers fired tear gas grenades and rubber bullets which led to several injuries: Mahmoud Tamimi by rubber bullets in the foot, activist Nariman Tamimi, in addition to another two youths – also by rubber bullets.
