Hundreds of people participated in the demonstration that the people of Khirbat Al Taweel, the grassroots Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign and the Agraba municipality jointly held on the 29th of November after Friday prayer in Khirbat Al Taweel, south of Nablus. The protest was held to support the people of Khirbat al Taweel that are threatened with demolition by Israeli occupation, as the community has faced 8 demolitions, and has recently received 18 demolition orders, including its electricity installation.
Stop the Wall said that this demonstration is only the beginning of a series of protests to support the steadfastness of the people in the village, and to challenge the Israeli policies, such as ethnic cleansing and settlement expansion practiced in the occupied territories.
Stop the Wall added, that the official Palestinian parties, people's organizations, national institutions, and the people should fight against the occupation policy in all possible ways and wherever they occur. This includes the policy of ethnic cleansing that is practiced in the Naqab/Negev and in the Jordan Valley. He also called for resistance to the Israeli attempts to Judaize Jerusalem which have been covered up in official global silence.
