On June 4th, 2010, Israeli Occupation forces shot tear gas canisters into the weekly protest of the village of Nabi Saleh. As a result, many participants in the protests suffered from suffocation.
After Friday prayers, protestors moved from the village mosque towards the entrance of the village on route to the lands threatened with confiscation. Israeli Occupation forces used tear gas to prevent the participants from reaching their destination.
In spite of the dispersal of tear gas and other measures the Israeli Occupation forces use to suppress popular resistance, the people of the village of Nabi Saleh will continue to gather in condemnation of Israeli transgressions. Their determination is already reflected in their regular weekly protests against the Apartheid Wall and the settlement construction that is seizing the village territory.
