Hundreds of Palestinian and international activists, members of Palestinian womenâs institutions and unions, and Palestinian political officials and leaders joined in the protest in Bilâin this week to honor Jawaher Abu Rahmah.
Jawaher, a 34-year-old woman from Bilâin, died January 1st in a Ramallah hospital as a result of poisoning caused by tear gas inhalation. Jawaher fainted after inhaling a large quantity of gas during the weekly protest against the Wall in Bilâin and was rushed immediately to Ramallah for treatment, where she remained until passing away Saturday morning.
