The 10 page report summarizes the basics of human rights obligations and standards for business as relevant to the context of Palestine. We have collected key references from the decision of the International Court of Justice on the legal consequences of the construction of the Wall, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the UN Global Compact, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises as well as independent analysts.
We hope tihs document can serve solidarity activists and human rights campaigners to strengthen their arguments when lobbying and pressuring business to adhere to international law, respect human rights and, eventually, join the Palestinian lead boycott, divestment and sanctions movement. Like it or not, business does have obligations to respect human rights – in Palestine and across the globe.
