Solidarity with Palestine in The Hague

On July 9th, as the ICJ read its advisory opinion declaring the illegality of the Wall and stated that Israel must immediately stop construction of the Wall, dismantle sections that have been built and offer reparations to those who have suffered as a result of its construction, demonstrators gathered in solidarity with Palestine and in resistance to the Apartheid Wall.

While Palestinians mobilized on the ground in Palestine, primarily in the Ar Ram area of Jerusalem, demonstrators worldwide engaged in solidarity initiatives, with the focal point of demonstration taking place outside of the Court in The Hague. Other gatherings, such as rallies, conferences, and informational briefings are known to have taken place in Britain, Italy and South Africa and other countries around the world.
